Our story

We are Su Garrido Pombo (voice), Katerina Linke (piano, composition) and Susanna Blanco (cello). Our musical project Miña Almiña (Sweet soul of mine) is based on the poems of the true Galician makar Rosalía de Castro who spearheaded the Galician cultural renaissance in the 19 th Century.

Miña Almiña is a seamless merging of poems from Rosalia´s Follas Novas (New Leaves)– follow up to her ground-breaking Galician language Cantares Galegos (Galician Songs)– with a contemporary, enlivening take on a cornerstone of the tradition.

The three of us have ample experience and numerous awards in our individual musical careers. Here we have combined our musical talents to create this project that has already been chosen as a finalist in the National Martín Códax Awards.

In addition we round off our repertoire with new versions of popular classics and compositions around some of the finest contemporary poets writing in Galicia today.
